| Companion alpacas make wonderful hobby farm residents; they are quiet, peaceful, easy to care for, and do very little damage to pasture. Alpacas may be housed with some goats, and get along very well with non-aggressive llamas. They should always have at least one like-aged alpaca companion with them; though groups of at least three are ideal. They are herd animals, and lead the most comfortable, happy, and healthy life when in the company of other alpacas. Due to their size, and docile temperament, companion alpacas make excellent 4-H animals; and their ultra-fine fiber is used by many hobby/fiber farm owners to create luxurious sweaters, blankets, hats, mittens, scarves, and socks. If you are interested in learning about caring for companion alpacas, call to schedule an appointment to spend a day here with our operations and veterinary staff, and ask about our companion package discounts. Our companion/fiber quality alpacas are sold either unregistered, or registered as non-breeders for show purposes. All are sold with a health guarantee, complete veterinary exam, medical records, and current vaccines.
